I have spent the last decade on the publisher side of the ad tech industry — at two mid-tier media companies, briefly at an SSP, and now running a portfolio of niche sites where the monetization stack is something I defend in front of a board every quarter.

adbench started because I was tired of reading vendor-funded thought leadership that did not survive contact with reality. Every piece here is something I either built, broke, or had to clean up after.

I do not take sponsorships. I do not run affiliate links. The site exists because writing it makes me better at my actual job, and because a handful of people read it and tell me it makes them better at theirs.
